Conclusion of audit for the year ending 31 March 2022

The limited assurance review for Palgrave has now been completed by the External Auditors: PKF Littlejohn LLP.

The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/234) set out what you must do at the conclusion of the review. In summary, we are required to:

  • • Prepare a “Notice of conclusion of audit” which details the rights of inspection, in line with the statutory requirements. 
  • • Publish the “Notice” along with the certified AGAR (Sections 1, 2 & 3) before 30 September, which must include publication on the smaller authority’s website.
    • Keep copies of the AGAR available for purchase by any person on payment of a reasonable sum.
    • Ensure that Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the published AGAR remain available for public access for a period of not less than 5 years from the date of publication.

The Parish Council has a duty under the Transparency Code to publish all items of expenditure. These can be found on a monthly basis within the minutes published on this website and summarised in the annual accounts. The Annual Return for the year ending 31 March 2022 is published under the list of AGAR Financial Documents in the left hand pane which includes all the mandatory AGAR documents including the Annual Governance Statement, the Accounting Statements, explanation of variances etc. The Internal Auditor's full detailed report is listed underneath this entry.  Older accounts are filed under Archived Financial Documents in annual folders. 

The Confirmation of the dates of the Period for the Exercise of Public Rights is listed under the AGAR documents, which commenced on Monday 13 June and ended on Friday 22 July 2022.
